Training Tomorrow's Physicians Today!
Freeman Health System has a rich history of working with respected medical schools to train tomorrow’s physicians today. For more than 40 years, Freeman has served as a training ground for third and fourth-year medical students completing their clinical rotations and medical school graduates completing their residencies.
Freeman has played a key role in the education and training of physicians in Missouri, and we’re excited to be the flagship hospital in the opening of the new medical school in Joplin. To support this important endeavor, Freeman pledged a multi-million dollar gift to the development of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences satellite campus. Thanks to the generous contributions of Freeman physicians and the strength of the Freeman Graduate Medical Education, Freeman Health System will continue to play a vital role in educating, training and retaining highly-skilled physicians in our region.
