Student Volunteer Futures Program
Freeman offers area high school juniors and seniors and college students the opportunity to learn about healthcare careers by joining Freeman Student Volunteers. Centered around education, this program allows students to earn class credit for the time they spend volunteering, if permitted by the student's school. In addition to learning about healthcare careers, students learn new skills, interact with medical professionals and patients and make new friends.
Whether you’re exploring medical careers or just want to make a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply. Our student volunteer program is offered each summer to those entering junior year of high school. A parent or guardian must sign the application if you are under 18 years of age.
Four students will earn a $500 scholarship to the college of their choice! In order to be nominated for a scholarship you must complete 80 volunteer hours, write a letter explaining why you should receive a scholarship and the director or staff of your assigned unit must recommend you.
