Freeman Health System has a rich history of working with respected medical schools to train tomorrow’s physicians. For decades, Freeman has served as a training ground for third- and fourth-year medical students completing their clinical rotations and medical school graduates completing their residencies. Many Freeman physicians are graduates of Kansas City University. Freeman is extremely pleased to have worked with KCU to open their new satellite medical school in Joplin. With the enrollment of KCU-Joplin’s first year of medical students, Freeman’s tradition of providing medical education facilities, classrooms, programs, preceptors and faculty continues for the benefit of the community.
