Freeman Development and Children’s Miracle Network® Offices Move
March 02, 2021
New Location Offers Added Space
Joplin, MO – Freeman Health System Development Office and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) staff have a new home. They are both now housed at 921 East 34th across from Freeman East Hospital.
The building was once the Children’s Center. It offers more space for staff, a larger conference room and easy access for visitors.
Freeman Development Office (Development) coordinates giving and donation opportunities for the system that is a not-for-profit healthcare organization. Charitable donations support a variety of funds including Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism Fund, Helping Friends with Mammograms Fund, Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute Fund, Ozark Center Turnaround Ranch Fund, Children’s Miracle Network Fund and many others.
Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for local children and families to assist them with medical needs such as prescriptions, medical equipment and specialty care. Funds are also raised to support Freeman pediatricians and maternal/child departments and supplies, including Freeman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Freeman Maternity Center and pediatric departments for pediatric equipment, medical supplies, educational programs and more. One hundred percent of every dollar raised locally stays local – donations help children and their families in 14 counties in Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Development and CMN were previously housed at 931 East 32nd Street with Freeman Center for Geriatric Medicine and Freeman Sleep Medicine, a 6-bed American Academy of Sleep Medicine accredited center. The move will allow for an expansion of Freeman Sleep Medicine which is a multi-disciplinary specialty clinic that provides diagnosis and treatment for people who experience problems with poor sleep issues and obstructive sleep apnea.
