Freeman Neosho welcomes new administrative leader

JOPLIN, Mo.—Freeman Health System is proud to announce the promotion of Renee Denton to Freeman Neosho Hospital Director of Administrative Services. A three-year employee of Freeman and a 26-year veteran in the healthcare industry, Denton was previously the director of the medical, oncology, and pediatric units and patient care advocates at Freeman Hospital West. In her new position, Denton will be responsible for the overall operations of Freeman Neosho.

“Throughout her years at Freeman, Renee has proven herself to be an effective and capable leader, most recently overseeing a staff of 122,” said Paula Baker, Freeman President and Chief Executive Officer. “She is as devoted to caring for her patients as she is to inspiring her employees. Freeman Neosho Hospital will continue to thrive under her guidance.” 

Denton earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was appointed by former Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan to the Missouri State Advisory Council for Emergency Medical Services, a term she served for three years until 2002.
