Freeman provides free physicals to 2,000 area athletes

JOPLIN, Mo.—Freeman Rehabilitation and Sports Center will provide free annual preparticipation physical exams to an estimated 2,000 middle school, high school and college athletes. Offered to nearly 20 local schools, the first round of free physicals will begin this month. Physicals will be offered to additional schools in July. 

For 23 years, Freeman has proudly provided this service to the community. More than 75 Freeman doctors, nurses, therapists and clinicians volunteer their time and talent each night to assist with this service.

Parental consent is required for participation. Consent forms may be found at Missouri State High School Activities Association website or with a school’s athletic director. Each student athlete must have a signed consent form before a preparticipation physical examination can be conducted.
