October 12, 2021

Freeman Caregiver Support Group

Joplin, Mo – Freeman Health System Caregiver Support Group will host guest speaker Mark Williams from Oak Pointe of Neosho and Carthage on Thursday, October 28.

Williams will discuss the different levels of care for seniors and explain the differences between assisted living and memory care services. Many seniors want to maintain their independence but require health-related assistance to ensure safety. Williams will explain that there are more options than just nursing homes and explain services offered in a variety of settings.

Facilitated by Freeman Geriatric Center social worker Jennifer Berry, MSW, LCSW, the support group meets from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Freeman East conference rooms. Physical distancing and mask wearing will be practiced. Refreshments and door prizes are provided.

Please RSVP to Kathy Mason at or call 417.347.8463.
