New Physician Joins Freeman Southwest Internal Medicine

Dr. Amanda Harrell recently joined Freeman Southwest Internal Medicine in Joplin. Dr. Harrell is a traditional internal medicine physician and sees patients both in the clinic and in the hospital. She is currently accepting new patients.

“I want patients to take control of their health and understand it’s not just about medicine,” said Dr. Harrell. “I want to educate patients about lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise and stress control, and how those impact their overall health.”
Dr. Harrell earned her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Mo., and completed her internal medicine residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Kansas City, Mo.
