Ozark Center Celebrates Opening of Hope Spring

March 27, 2018

New Facility is Home to Adult Outpatient Mental Health Services

Ozark Center, an entity of Freeman Health System, celebrated the opening of Hope Spring with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The facility located at 3901 E. 32nd St. in Joplin is home to adult outpatient mental health services. A same-day, walk-in clinic is also located in the new facility and is available 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday.

“We are thrilled with this new space because we believe the mental well-being of our community is just as important as the physical well-being,” said Paula F. Baker, Freeman President and Chief Executive Officer. “With this new location, we have a greater opportunity to meet the mental health needs of this community.”

The 34,000 square foot building was named Hope Spring, which stands for healing, overcoming, persevering and empowering. Colors inside include muted shades of green, yellow and blue and provide a sense of calm, hope and healing. Photos were taken by Ozark Center employees.

“We felt Hope Spring was the perfect name and our goal is for this facility to offer a life-giving opportunity to those in need – offering purpose, meaning, hope and direction,” said Vicky Mieseler, Ozark Center Chief Administrative Officer. “Staff members of this program were selfless and patient throughout the project, and together we have created a place where hope is offered through calmness and beauty.”

Approximately 6,000 individuals are served each year through Ozark Center’s adult outpatient mental health services. Services include psychological and mental health evaluations, individual and couples counseling, group and family therapy, biofeedback therapy, and psychotherapy. Ozark Center is the area’s leading provider of behavioral healthcare and has helped clients for more than 50 years. To schedule an appointment call 417.347.7600.
