Freeman Auxiliary Unveils Windows of Inspiration
February 22, 2017
Windows honor volunteers and therapy dogs.
Freeman Auxiliary unveiled two Windows of Inspiration in the walkway between Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute and Freeman Intensive Care Unit. One panel serves as a “thank you” to Freeman Auxiliary Volunteers for giving their time, support and service to Freeman Health System. The second panel honors the many comfort pets and their owners who serve in the Freeman Pet Therapy program. Started in 2014, the Windows of Inspiration program was created to provide spiritual healing to patients and guests. Therapy dogs will be on-site for the unveiling.
Each year, Freeman Auxiliary members raise money through Freeman Gift Gallery, raffles and various events. Freeman Auxiliary supports programs such as Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States, the Chaplains Fund and Turnaround Ranch. Freeman Auxiliary also purchases wheelchairs and other needed hospital equipment.
